Us
Our Story
The business was formed in 2011 by John Bloxham, who qualified as a solicitor in 1993. On 25th November 2019 Standards and Regulations introduced by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) for the first time allowed solicitors to deliver non-reserved legal services to the public from within a business not regulated by a legal services regulator. In other words, certain services could be offered to the public by solicitors employed by companies which were not traditional law firms. The idea behind this innovation was to widen the legal services market, thereby providing the consumer with a greater choice of service providers. The reduced bureaucracy faced by such alternative providers, means that they can pass on savings to their clients in the form of lower fees. Yes! Legal runs on a model which complies with those Regulations, offering clients an alternative to the traditional law firm at a reduced cost.
Who We Are
Our professional values are very much aligned with those that you would find in a traditional law firm. They include putting the best interests of clients first and striving to provide high levels of service. Our founder, John Bloxham, worked in solicitors practices serving corporate and legally aided clients and was the supervising solicitor at a law centre, ran a traditional solicitors' firm for 14 years, before going on form Yes! Legal. He therefore has a breath of experience with clients from many different backgrounds and has helped them solve a wide variety of legal problems.
Our Vision
Our aim is to provide cost effective legal services to individuals and small businesses in a number of key areas, as an alternative to the use of traditional law firms. For most of our services, we charge a fixed fee agreed up front with you. This removes any concerns that you may of legal bills running out of control. Not only that, our charging rates are substantially less than you will find in traditional law firms (usually more than half) and this is made possible by our alternative business structure, which is freed from many of the overheads icurred by traditional firms.

Fixed Fees
All of our work is carried out on a fixed fee, unbudled basis. We agree our fee for any work with you at the outset. This way, you know exactly where you stand in terms of costs and you can budget without the fear of that you will be burdened my an unexpected bill.

The unbundled nature of our services simply means that you choose exactly how much of our services you want to use. You may may just want to use us on a one-off basis or you may wish o come back to us several times to complete different aspects of your legal problem. Either way, you remain in control.
Litigation Support
Litigation support is a service which we provide to both individuals & businesses. Because of the expense of legal fees, many cases these days are conducted by litigants in person. That is to say, the individual represents themselves in court, rather than employing a solicitor to act their behalf. However, this does not prevent them from seeking advice & assistance on aspects of the case from either a solicitors' firm or elsewhere. That advice & assistance could include help with drafting documents, such as the initial claim/application or statements. Advice as to the merits of a claim might be sought or guidance as to court procedures. Conducting a case in this way may save a considerable amount of money but also provide a degree of confidence in that some support is available.
Bespoke Services
We also offer bespoke services, usually centred around carrying out detailed research in a specific legal area. This could, for instance, consider how new or proposed changes in legislation might impact on a business or other organisation. It could include advice as to changes that need to be made to become compliant with legislative changes.

We have significant experience in carrying out work in a number areas of law, this means that we are always able to advise you quickly and clearly as to what your options are in respect of your legal problem. A good lawyer instinctively knows that solving a legal problem is often not just a matter of law. Where are involved, their emotions won't be far way and they often have to be taken into account when seeking a solution. Our director, John Bloxham, was awarded a distinction in his Master's Degree in Law, demonstrating a high ability to research, analyse and propose solutions to complex legal issues.
Years of Experience
As with all professions, in law experience counts. Our director, John Bloxham, first worked in legal services in 1988, before attending The College of Law in London on his way to qualifying as a solicitor. He went on to gain experience working in a number of legal areas. This brought him into contact with many different people, each with their own specific problem to be resolved. His approach is to explain in clear terms the options available to his clients so that they may make well informed decisions. Years of experience has taught him that one of the options that should always be on the table is "what if I do nothing?", as in some instances that may be the best approach.

Our aim is always to be quick, reliable and efficient in all that we do. We are a small business and we regulate our workload so that we can deal promptly with our clients' matters. If we say that we will do something, then we do it.
